» TSS version 11.01 Revision F is Now Available (see downloads).
PLEASE NOTE: REVISION F WILL REQUIRE UPGRADING YOUR FLEXLM LICENSE MANAGER (i.e. lmgrd.exe and spaced.exe). See below for more details.

This release includes many significant updates and enhancements to TSS applications and translators, including:

Sinda/Fluint v4.1C - You can now take full advantage of SYMBOLS, which offer a spreadsheet-like functionality to your Sinda models. Symbols can be used to define control parameters, Sinda control constants, node attributes, other symbols, and much more.

Geometry - Added mapping range for visible objects only. Added the ability to display descriptive surface side labels (up/down and in/out). Corrected issues with displaying node numbers, comment fields, node resequencing, twist/shift, and quadrilateral areas retrieved using the node probe (and command language).

Radk/HR - Corrected issues with the toroid, cone (scarfed), BRDF properties, boolean cylinder, paraboloid, user defined heat sources, and variable optical properties. Area calculations for FECC objects have also been modified.

Orbit - Increased the number of significant digits available when defining orbit positions. Corrected issues with trajectory orbits, tabular albedo/planet data, and the beta vs. time display.

CC/FECC - Added node to node connect for arithmetic user-defined nodes. Corrected issues with wedge conductors in FECC, conductor values displayed using the 'node probe', listing data, and FECC areas.

Command Language - Attribute qualifier has been added to retrieve list of all Sinda node id's for a given object.

Translators - Corrected issues with the Nastran and TRASYS to TSS translators for triangles, quadrilaterals, and transmissive surfaces.

Application Queue - The application Queue can now be used to start command line applications as a batch job.

Long Pathnames - Throughout TSS, pathnames up to 1024 characters are now supported.

Multiple CPU Licensing - The TSS license format has been updated to allow the user to lock the number of cpu's as either single or double.

License Manager – The TSS license manager has been upgraded to v10.1 of FlexLM. With this new license manager USB dongles and license borrowing are supported.

SAT Beta – The Structural Analysis Tool (SAT) has been added to the installation for those who chose to see an introduction to SAT and SAT/STRAN. SAT/STRAN is a derivative of NASTRAN and SAT is the 3D graphical front end for structural analysis.

Previous revisions will run with the new license manager, but Revision F will not run with older license managers. If you are a network administrator, you may consider upgrading your license manager before you upgrade to Revision F (see license manager downloads).

For Windows users who are not using a centralized network server to run their license manager, instructions on upgrading your license manager are shown here. With this new license manager, USB dongles and license borrowing are supported.
